| The
Agnes Coast is one of Queensland's spectacular, natural
and unspoiled coastlines. Surrounded by national parks,
with a mountain backdrop of amazing beauty, it's where
the surf meets the Reef on Latitude 24. The area boasts
miles of deserted white sandy surfing beaches, rocky headlands,
a magnificent mountain rimmed bay with deep water anchorage;
20 miles off shore are 26 Coral Cay Islands. Having national
parks on three sides, The Great Barrier Reef on the other,
Agnes Water and the Town Of 1770 will always maintain
its environmental setting.
The
vast pleasures of Agnes Water and the Town Of 1770 are
yours to enjoy all year round, as the climate is best
described as "perfect". Summer and winter temperatures
range between 21 to 30 degrees Celsius, making it equal
to Hawaii with more than 300 days of sunshine a year.
The water too is ideal for safe family swimming. The
area is renowned for good estuary fishing and mud crabbing.
If you prefer board-riding, this is the last northern
surfing beach on the east coast; the surfing is excellent!
Agnes Water and the Town Of 1770 is one of the most
beautiful places on the entire Queensland Coast as well
as the closest mainland point to the Great Barrier Reef.
The
winters are warm, dry and sunny, and summer temperatures
rarely exceed 30 degrees celsius. Over 300 days
of sunshine are experienced annually.
